Fairly easy to setup your computer to work from home while still having the opportunity to use your computer as your personal/home PC.

Best thing was working from home you didn't have to commute. Worst was the pay and the constant changing policies that happened last minute based on feedback from non US based reps. The same type that tell you "they understand your issue" yet they really don't and you have to explain to them 20 times and they still read from a script.

Your schedule changes every few months. You have to bid based on a performance metrics formula the company wont disclose so you never know if you are rated correctly. Schedules include flex time, which means you have days you have to be available more hours than what you will really work and get paid for. This is to allow them to move you schedule to an earlier or later start at their discretion.
You actually pay most of the bill for broadband, a computer, cost of repair, extra utilities, home office / real estate, etc.

Little to no support from management. Train yourself because nobody else will lend a hand.

This was my first work from opportunity after looking at so many that were not legit. Provides lots of flexibility and the schedules are fine given the fact that you are working from home.

: I worked at Support.Com as a Remote Support Technician for the last 2.5 years. Despite the critics, SDC is a great employer. The work culture is positive. The supervisors offer exceptional coaching. The top leadership ranks are filled with savvy, entrepreneurial tech executives. Nearly all jobs at SDC are work-at-home. Paid training is provided. Excellent and affordable health and dental benefits are offered, including 401k. You’re even paid additional money to help offset your computer and internet service expenses. SDC also offers a generous amount paid time off, including vacation and PTO (flexible Paid Time Off) opportunities.

Comcast is rated as having one of the worst customer services in the world. It certainly deserves it. Support.com may be a better service overall, but we get those angry customers from the other departments.

Working from home is the ONLY benefit that is worth while at this company.
