Pros

Campus was pretty cool. Traveling frequently was nice if you like that.

Cons

Poor management. Unrealistic expectations and no real manager guidance. Most training came from coworkers. Benefits were not good. No real work/life balance, especially with projects in different time zones (on-call a lot, even in the middle of the night). Very mentally exhausting. Constant employee drama (could be a pro if you like gossip).

Pros

People are super nice, you can make some good friends. The pay is decent and the benefits are pretty good.

Cons

Watch your back an always be looking for a new job because you never know when you are going to be cut for absolutely no valid reason. You think everything is great and you're working your tail off but you get fired due to whatever policy they decide you violated that isn't stated anywhere is grounds for termination.

Pros

I had a largely good experience with ScriptPro as a private company, Co-workers and management were very friendly, helpful, and patient. Lots of support for new employees and very little micro-managing for employees who understood their positions well. Pace is fast at first but as you become more competent, the job gets exponentially easier. Great for self-directed personality types who like finding their own ways to be efficient and don't want to deal directly with customers on a daily basis. The facilities are quite nice, which also helps keep morale high.

Cons

Steep learning curve at first. Good procedural memory is required. The company is corporatizing. It's absolutely going to radically change the way the company operates and likely for the worse. It's very hard to say if any of the pros I experienced while working there will still exist next year. As someone in my 30's who is married, in good health, with no children, the health benefits on offer were essentially worthless. The extensions to my spouse were more expensive and more limited than if she had purchased her own insurance. I chose ScriptPro because I wanted benefits for my wife so we could start a family but they didn't help us at all. Poor 401k contribution matching. The business model of the company is driven almost entirely by fluctuating government policies, which makes for extremely turbulent conditions. I was laid off suddenly with next-to-zero notice after 9 months of employment, despite a sterling performance record. I can only imagine that once the company goes corporate, these issues of job insecurity and poor benefits will only worsen.

Pros

-Solid benefits package including Insurance, 401k, and PTO structure -On-site workout room, healthy snacks in central/admin building -Friendly staff/employees, everyone there is kind and helpful -Consistently working with great tech -Your team and team lead will support you and work with you

Cons

-Top-level management has gone through changes, decision making often opaque -Company was going through major stretch of hiring and training employees before suddenly firing a notable percentage of employees with no warning and almost no severance -Poor sales/marketing performance seems to result in cuts/impact on Support and other unrelated groups first -Often feels like C-Suite's outward talk of caring about company not fully matched by actions

Pros

ScriptPro is a truly awesome company that makes wonderful solutions for pharmacies ranging from small to hospital and mail order size. The people are what truly make ScriptPro the amazing company is it. Dedicated and determined individuals who work together to serve customers and deliver outstanding products. Good pay. I was paid well as I advanced throughout the organization. Opportunities to advance are plentiful if you learn the products and show a willingness to do more.

Cons

The executive team is largely abysmal. They often know little to nothing about what the front line employees do or deal with in the name of keeping customers happy. The COO, Bill Thomas is a great guy. I feel like he and almost all of the VPs under him are constantly under the thumb of Mike Coughlin and are in a constant race to see who can please him and a select few customers the fastest and most. They’ll tell you one thing to hour face but will not truly fight for their teams or departments if Mike (or MEC, because he’s too cool to be called Mike) says jump. The directors I reported to were amazing and I truly felt like they cared about the people under them. That unfortunately is where the care ends. While the pay is good if you advance and get promoted, the annual “raises” have never kept up with inflation. At most, you’re looking at 3-4%, which is great if your bills and expenses aren’t growing by 8-10%. The customers know they can circumvent any and all processes and procedures by running and complaining to daddy Mike. We often knew decision we made as a team would be undercut by someone running and telling on us. I could count on one hand the number of times a decision that I made or a director made was upheld by executives who often had literally no clue what the situation was. This made you second guess or question decisions you knew were in your team or the company’s best interest for fear of getting the rug pulled out from underneath you. Work/life balance. Whole ScriptPro doesn’t come right out and tell you that you’ll be on call 24/7 when you get into even the most entry level of leadership roles, they often remind you that you need to be “responsive” or you will hear how other leaders aren’t “responsive”. While I willingly signed up for this for years, it eventually took a toll. The stress and constant state of alert is tiring and wears on family life, personal health, and general well being. While I always felt heard and understood when I brought these concerns to my bosses, this “responsiveness” culture is so ingrained into ScriptPro that nothing changes. Because the other people you work with are so awesome, you feel badly for having others help and pick up the slack and instead bury yourself further in work. The young, up and coming leaders that were developed do not want to devote their entire lives to a company they can clearly see isn’t willing to do the same for them. Benefits are meh at best. Insurance premiums are high for decent coverage. The 401k matching isn’t at industry, or even national, standards. The PTO offering is ok once you have some years under your belt, if you can truly use and enjoy it (see above).

Pros

You get to travel for trainings and the job is remote

Cons

Underpaid - You make around the median (US) salary (2022) ~50k Overworked: - You can stay hours on 1 phone call depending on the type of customer - Phone calls are almost back to back (you have maximum 5-10 mins after a call to write notes before a supervisor messages you and tell you to grab the next call) - You work 4 days a week but work 10 hours MINIMUM each day - No career development - Work on holidays - Dealing with stressed, and sometimes very rude customers - Request to change shift will be ignored. So if you choose to work on weekends, make sure you are ok with it because they will not give you an option to switch even if they say will. - Poor 401(k) benefits No raises but always more work to load on you
