Pros

Potential to earn good money( if they pay what they say they will)

Cons

My first two weeks were great, and even though I didn’t make 1 sale I had enjoyed the job very much. The guys at corporate were so kind and helpful. I was looking for to the potential money I could earn, and I was excited to save business owners money. I went to visit a couple friends that have businesses eager to show them what I could do for them. Long story short, they promise low rates and great deals but in the end the business owner ends up paying much more then they were paying in the first place! I learned that I need to find out more information before I start working for a company, every piece of information I originally heard was from the company itself. I went onto Google and found more reviews from other business owners, the complaints were unreal! I was so unnerved by these stories I went and changed all my bank info because talus had it. Then I went and apologized to my friends and let them know they shouldn’t switch processors. I feel foolish but I’m grateful I was able to catch my friends before they switched.

Pros

Eventually they will go out of business

Cons

Everything they say is a lie. Everything. Recruiter told me I would work within my zip code. Told me that I need to be available Monday through Friday. That thwy will keep me busy full-time. Then I agree and on a recorded line, they forced me to agree to a 20 mile radius or not start. Then they said that I would get 2-4 leads a day after training. Training is 3 conference calls lasting a max of 2 hours. They stretch this out over 3 days. I live in Denver. They told me over the course of 2 weeks that the telemarketers are "not that good and dont count on them". Tried to convince me to drive around town and walk on to businesses. I refused. Told them i will invest my efforts once I see my 2-4 leads a day. I never was given one lead from a new appointment. They hire people and dont care if you starve to death. No accountability to uphold promises. Bait and switch. When you can't pay your mortgage, they dont care. So I suggest that you dont care about what they want from you. They are the ones who advertise that they need salespeople, then they have no business. They just want to use and abuse you. They dont pay you a penny unless you make them hundreds of dollars first. Just another 1099 scam

Pros

This is an amazing job for somebody that is self-motivated and doesn’t need someone standing over their shoulder. That is the kind of management style that I thrive in! Don’t get me wrong, corporate provides a great deal of support if or when you need it. Aside from them setting appointments for you, you do have an extreme amount of flexibility in your schedule. Like any other sales job, you get what you put into it . You don’t have to worry about where you’re going to get your leads from that often. For the most part those are provided. However, any seasoned sales person will tell you that Self Gens are always far more valuable, especially monetarily. Talus Payments provides you with the most advanced forms of tools & devices in order to help sell your clients. As well as paper correspondence either to assist in the sale &/or literature to leave with customer.

Cons

In all honesty, the only con that I have experienced while working for Talus Payments is just the lack of ability to meet corporate &/or other sales associates face-to-face. So not the same type of Camaraderie you may have when seeing co-workers face to face everyday, even if just for 20 minutes. But as stated previously you are able to get whatever level of supervision &/or however much assistance as you need to be successful at Talus Payments.
