Pros

Chill job during the night shift

Cons

Everything else is bad, they decreased pay from the year before, management treats you horribly as a contract employee and the actual IBM employees are making a lot more. They will offer to renew your contract continuously with the chance of coming on as an IBMer sometime in the future but they are also constantly doing layoffs. Training is horrible as well.

Pros

You have the opportunity to work with both Lenovo and CTG, providing diverse perspectives. Some assistants are wonderful to work with and create a positive work environment. The role offers exposure to a well-known brand and potential for networking within Lenovo.

Cons

The dual management structure (Lenovo and CTG) can feel bureaucratic and inefficient. As a CTG contractor, it’s common to feel like an "outsider" since many perks, benefits, and employee groups are reserved for Lenovo employees. Transitioning from a CTG contractor to a full-time Lenovo employee is difficult, even after years of service, despite management’s reassurances. CTG contractors receive lower pay and fewer benefits compared to Lenovo employees. Some CTG PTO is automatically used for Lenovo holidays, giving you less flexibility in how you use your time off. Opportunities for pay raises are limited, and the company is unlikely to match competitive offers from other employers.

Pros

They are rated as best place to work for the last few years. They will always help you find more work if you need it, including OT. High standards are maintained for work efforts and talent management.

Cons

No contributions to employee 401k. Not much effort to keep talent. Raises are sparse and minimal. Almost no internal leadership engagement.
