Pros

The job schedule is great if you enjoy traveling. It’s a set schedule that allows you to plan around your time home unlike a lot of traveling jobs. I was able to work in all 50 states during my time with ScriptPro. The work is rewarding and the Field Service management team itself is great. I truly enjoyed the job itself.

Cons

There is a huge disconnect between upper management and customer service. It’s little families and cliques working together in upper management without a single care for the lower level employees. Review process is an absolute disaster. 10 yearly reviews as a field service engineer with only one field review. They just leave it N/A all the time because upper management has them tied up in too much meaningless work to actually check on the work you’re doing. You’ll be judged off paperwork more than your ability as a field service engineer.

Pros

It has a good work culture.

Cons

They are not super big so wages are not super competitive, but they are still good.

Pros

I had a largely good experience with ScriptPro as a private company, Co-workers and management were very friendly, helpful, and patient. Lots of support for new employees and very little micro-managing for employees who understood their positions well. Pace is fast at first but as you become more competent, the job gets exponentially easier. Great for self-directed personality types who like finding their own ways to be efficient and don't want to deal directly with customers on a daily basis. The facilities are quite nice, which also helps keep morale high.

Cons

Steep learning curve at first. Good procedural memory is required. The company is corporatizing. It's absolutely going to radically change the way the company operates and likely for the worse. It's very hard to say if any of the pros I experienced while working there will still exist next year. As someone in my 30's who is married, in good health, with no children, the health benefits on offer were essentially worthless. The extensions to my spouse were more expensive and more limited than if she had purchased her own insurance. I chose ScriptPro because I wanted benefits for my wife so we could start a family but they didn't help us at all. Poor 401k contribution matching. The business model of the company is driven almost entirely by fluctuating government policies, which makes for extremely turbulent conditions. I was laid off suddenly with next-to-zero notice after 9 months of employment, despite a sterling performance record. I can only imagine that once the company goes corporate, these issues of job insecurity and poor benefits will only worsen.
